Cincinnati roofers often work with siding too, and we here at Harper Siding and Roofing are no exception. New siding helps your house look fresh and new.
What can you do to keep that siding clean, though?
Keeping Home Siding Clean
You do not want to rent a power washer to clean vinyl siding. A power washer can damage the siding.
Your answer may as simple as a scrub brush with a long handle.
If part of your house stays in the shade most of the time, that vinyl siding can accumulate algae, not to mention mildew and mold.
Vinyl Siding Cleaning Tips
There’s a mother-and-daughter team named Vicki and Steph Kubiak who wrote about cleaning their vinyl siding, complete with photos to illustrate:
Their hand washing approach involves the following:
- A ladder
- A small scrub brush
- A long-handled scrub brush
- A garden hose with a sprayer attached
- Dishwashing liquid
- “Outdoor cleaner” (available at most garden supply stores)
- A tank sprayer
- A cordless chemical sprayer
If you would rather have a few seasoned Cincinnati roofers come and clean for you, of course, we are happy to oblige.
